ICF Basics For Commercial Installers at World of Concrete (ICFWE)

Tuesday, January 23 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM Presenter: Bill Clymer This new interactive training course is designed for commercial contractors who are new to Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs). A team of expert teachers will cover typical commercial ICF details, integration with other elements and expected support from ICF suppliers. The class will also include tips for general contractors, including letting bids, selecting ICF brands and maximizing chances of success on the first job i.e. whether to self-perform the install and/or how to select an ICF installation subcontractor. Attendees will have an opportunity to handle and work with ICF materials being demonstrated.

About The Event Join us for a two-day roundtable and site tour event where we’ll explore the latest innovation in concrete construction: Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs). February 6: At the Hampton Inn you’ll learn from design professionals and building owners about their experiences designing and building with ICFs. You’ll learn about energy efficient ICF hotels, schools, and churches in the Phoenix area. Then we’ll take a bus tour of two ICF hotels, one completed and one under construction, and an ICF school before returning to the Hampton Inn. This event qualifies for 6 AIA-CES HSW Learning Units Who Should Attend Architects, engineers, developers, building owners, and contractors. Product manufacturers and distributors will also benefit.
